We LOVE browsing the Old House Dreams website! (We love browsing photos of old houses in general) BUT our jaws dropped when we saw this house shared over on Facebook today.
It was built in 1790. 1790!!!
Here’s another house to add to the dream list… We’ll just be sitting here, wishing we could buy all of these lovelies and restore them to their former glory & show them some love once again. ❤
23 Pittsylvania Ave, Halifax, NC 27839
Own your own piece of History within The Historic Town of Halifax! Over 200 years old, built in the late 1700’s, early 1800’s, this beautiful Colonial Home formally known as The Price House is in much need of repairs and restoration. NEEDS TLC and SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS! Yet, when fully restored it can be a prize show piece. Starting with a Victorian front porch, displaying original front door transom and sidelights, beautiful mantels and some original woodworking. This featured home is not only unique, but is also a work of art. Home was once registered with Preservation North Carolina, covenants/restrictions, may still apply to new buyer. Potential buyer may be eligible to receive historic preservation tax credits. Consult with the Town of Halifax first, but imagine converting this home into a small Bed n Breakfast in the historical heart of the County or your own personal home.

It looks like the last owner really did attempt to restore this beauty before giving up and listing her back for sale. I sure hope someone purchases this house and shows her some love. She’s begging for it. (& so deserves it!) ❤
